I Scream Poem by Indira Renganathan

I Scream

I scream
When I see
A cockroach flying

I scream
When I'm punched
By a lizard on my head

I scream
When I'm about to stamp
A centipede

I scream
When I see
Earth worms while gardening

I scream
When I see
Caterpillars patched on trees

I scream
When I see
Ants infesting

Simply
Repulsive fear

But

The most
I scream
When I see
Bed bugs

The most
I scream
When I see
Mosquitoes

But out of
Bitten agony

The bugs
The mosquitoes
Just dead
