I See You Poem by Luvo Mjayezi

I See You

I see you standing there pretending not to see me,
Sitting there Busying yourself in deeds of shallowness.

You speak in words of nothingness, deepening our silent conversations,
I am sorry my words, my thoughts, my very presence offends you.

How can I tell you that I love you without words or actions?
I stare and wonder in the light of my confusion.

Not to judge you but to expose myself, my thoughts and feelings deceive me only to betray you.

I am not myself. I have ceased to exist; only shadows give me appearance to your naked eye.

Thousands I have encountered, millions I have become.
I have been devoured by the collective mind of being.

Yet I remain divided from collective consciousness.
