I Shall Take Birth At Countless Times Poem by Ismail Aashna

I Shall Take Birth At Countless Times

Rating: 5.0

I shall take birth
In the burning lap of time
At countless times
To drink flames
And unravel
Mystery twisted destinies

I shall frisk like the rising sun
Over the peaks of
Black mountains
To pluck frozen frost
From the branches
Melt the concretized ice
On the isolated paths
Awaken the river of aspirations
To make the swans of dreams
Play hide and seek
With the winged waves

Sweeping aside the snow
From over the rotten layers of leaves
Enable the deer to dance
In the dense woods

Naked kids of helpless mothers
Under the thatched roofs
Of the broken huts
Shall receive warmth from me
And the widows, whose head-gears
Were swept away by wild winds,
Shall be wrapped within the shawls
Woven of golden beams

I shall make the aged laugh
And walk upright fast
On the frightening paths
Soothe agony of the wounded,
Furnish the hungry with the hot cooked rice
And shall give eyesight to the blind,
Strength of legs to the crippled.

I shall inscribe
Sufferings of the deer
On the trunks of Deodars
To melt the frozen tears of
The arrogant lions
And transmute the tears of
Astonished eyes into smiles
By extinguishing flames on
Desolate lips.

I shall make the waves dance
In the courtyard of the sea
By stimulating the fish
To tear the age old nets
And like woodpecker
Shall I announce
From over the tree tops
Through islands
Bewitched by frosty mists
The arrival of spring.

Communicating message
Of the black rose
I have to make the suffocated crow
Express the depths of his heart
And the sportive breeze
Skip over the branches
Laden with the fragrant flowers

I have to accompany the lazy pigeon
To visit the skies,
Cajole the hatred ridden hawk,
And tell the shivering birds
That beyond the dark clouds
There is neither frost nor fog
Only sunshine and sunshine and sunshine

I have to take birth
In the burning lap of time
At countless times
To drink flames
In the furnace of pain
And unravel
The mystery of twisted destinies.
