I Sometimes Wonder

I sometimes wonder at how you've been
Where you must be - What you've been doing
I wonder if you ever think about me
Or about the times we spent together
Maybe I'm just a figment of your imagination
Something that was once true and is now unreal
Or maybe I don't exist any more

I sometimes wonder about myself
Whether I still love you
Or if it's just the friendship that I miss
One or the other, or both
Does it really matter?

I sometimes wonder about the times we spent together
I sometimes wonder if such events actually occurred
Maybe you're just a figment of my imagination
And all that was there just never existed
But really who cares?

I sometimes wonder if things could ever go back to the way they were
Well maybe not exactly the way they were, but something similar
Something is better than nothing, I would think
Or is this better? I don't know which voice to listen to any more

But I guess it's nice to know you're still alive
Going our separate ways
Maybe one day our ways shall meet
I guess we'll just have to sit back and watch life go on
