I Still Smile Poem by Tyler Burke

I Still Smile

I still smile
I have for a while
Losing those seconds,
Clicks of a dial.

There's a comfort with wild
We're spicy not mild
We run through time
And we do it in style

Avoid me lovingly
I still smile happily
No one gets my need
to take away the air that i breathe

Serious
Just as funny as delirious
Starting to accept that she's
not like the rest

Our dance happenstance
Hate to comprehend last chance
Anychance we can stand on balconies in Amsterdam
Playing music with our eyes
Love in colors soul delight

I start to think
In these quiet nights
Who would want to see me
Under so many lights.

I tinker and twist
To find the flavor of kiss
To run with your mind
My epitome of bliss.

I wonder if you're out there
Looking for the same
Or if you also
hate playing this game.

We can dance or we can fight
You keep me up
That time of night

I wish I wonder
I think of you
Do you exist
My love for you.

Will you tell me you like my world
You love my voice
Live by My words
You help me build
These precious works
We can stay for a while
It's been a long time
But the thought of finding you
Is the reason I still smile.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I truly wonder if I'll ever find someone to love and cherish me the way I can't help but love people that grow and bond with me and have special connections and touch. I wonder if anyone has ever felt this with me.
