I Stood There Like A Lamp Post - Poem by abhishek naithani

I stood there like a lamp post.
I have memories of you but nothing to boast.
I stood there like a lamp post.
Night and day, day and night
spreading light but i am without light.
I stood there like a lamp post.

Fighting rust and eating dust.
Sipped lonleliness and quenched my thirst.
I stood there like a lamp post.

Under the heaven buried in ground little lost and little found.
I stood there like a lamp post.
