I Surprised You Shocked My Self Poem by Karin Holloway

I Surprised You Shocked My Self

I surprised you shocked my self
To see your stance, guess your glance
For she who resembled Cinderella.
Shaken first, seized later I switched
To an Old Self.
One Self, selfish me -
Supplanted by possessive instincts
One Self I stumble on.
Becoming One.
