I Surrender Poem by Janwonaca Hughes

I Surrender

Drain my tears of pain into a cup
and drink it as if my pain has always been yours
Embrace me with your love and grace
as you welcome me into your arms of
forsake and forgiveness
Lay down your last clothing to let me
walk over a puddle of water
Show me the world of no tomorrow
Take me, take me into you let us become one
Twin lovers shall we be
as you rap your arms around me
Make me feel beloved, take my mind, body and nothing
more and give me all of you
I SURRENDER
Shoot me in the heart with your arrow that carries
nothing but painless love with sweet
and never bitter sex
I surrender my heart and lay down my concrete shield
to pick up your heart beneath your soul
