I Thought I Had Found Poem by Ray Hansell

I Thought I Had Found

The sun slowly leaves the sky
I know I'm going to start to cry
Because you are the one
Who's telling us goodbye

Please tell me what happened
Where did we go wrong
Please don't tell me
That this is our swan song

I thought that you and I
Had so many years to go
But now you're telling me
That, that is not so

So why don't you tell me
The exact reason why
That you feel the need
For us to have to say goodbye

I built my life around you
Only to see it crumble down
Knowing that I'm losing
What I thought I had found

The sun slowly leaves the sky I know I'm going to start to cry....Darkness and sorrow give you crying but sunrise and love make you happy. An amazing poem is brilliantly penned.

This is an excellent lament in quatrains. Nice job, Ray!
