I thought we would grow old together,
Share many stories,
The lines would show upon our faces,
Though we wouldn’t care ‘cause we had each other.
I thought you’d always be there,
To hold me, not to scold me.
I thought we’d always be friends,
Not strangers,
Crossing the road to avoid one another.
Smiles ever fading,
Shadows of once was.
A heart wandering a lonely path,
Stubbornly losing out on what should be!
I wanted to marry,
Not carry on like this,
I never wanted this dream to end,
Nor the story that never was!
