I thought you were the 'ONE' and that my life had just begun!

I look back now with only memories, some of them were happy,
but now I see that you and I weren't meant to be forever..

At least now I have my dignity, my pride and my children,
with true happiness and content, now that I'm free.

What doesn't kill you, does truly makes you stronger....

We were so different in so many ways,
the anger and the snipes just left me in a haze..

I'm thankful now, for everything I've become..
I wouldn't have my family, if we had not begun..

You don't know me anymore,
you didn't really know me then..
They always say that true love,
begins as just a friend..

But we were never real friends!
We never understood each other at all.
Our past, our present or our future,
that's what caused us to fall..

Life's lessons to me, what I've really learnt!
You don't know what love really is,
Unless you have been burnt..
