I Tried But No More Poem by rose red

i tried to help
to take away your pain
but all you did
was take and take
you never wanted my help
and saying
that you love me
didn't ease the fact that you hurt me
that you enjoyed my pain
maybe you thought
it would take away
the pain that was your own
but now i'm broken
and can never heal me
not with your wwords and lies
and yet despite
what you did to me
it causes me great pain
to say this now
i can't help you
