Michael P. Johnson (7th Nov.1943 / New Silksworth / Sunderland Co/Durham England)
I’VE SO MUCH MORE
You’ve known me in my sinful state
The selfish tears I’ve cried
You’ve known that I’d appreciate
Beneath Your wings to hide
Through You my God I’ve faith and hope
I’ve trust beyond compare
With You I’ll live I’ll thrive and cope
For You are everywhere
I’ve shelter from the stormy gale
Safety within Your hand
Boldness walking the shadowed vale
And strength life’s trials to stand
I’m blessed within salvation’s plan
I’m more than just alive
I’ve favour in the eyes of man
I know that I’ll survive
Beyond where people wait to die
Beyond the realm of time
Above the clouds where eagles fly
Eternity’s sublime
I know man’s grave is not the end
Nor is this life we see
With You my God my Lord and friend
I’m flying high and free
Leaving behind this world’s alarms
Crisis, trouble and strife
Awaits for me with open arms
Your love and endless life
So death is no concern for me
I’ve far too much to do
I’ve peace I’ve joy and liberty
Whilst serving here with You
