I Was Afraid Poem by richad adrian munene

I Was Afraid

I saw the deep scar and scared i was, it would get deeper.

I breathed so much a glorious heaves afraid of your words

well my heart!

thunder boomed, lightnin struck

and for endless a moment i did see things fail to settle to tranquility!

wishful was the trail

unanswered were my litanies of unheard beckons

so wry to the heck of wealth they wore

my remembrance bitter path of woe

i was abandoned in the raw

oh no!

tears flooded my reasoning to bar my clear seeing of things

The Casualty Demanded Explanation Yet I Too Was A Reject

She Wanted Neither Of Us,

Heavens!

She Wanted Peace Of Mind

I To Stay As Friends Him To Stay Apart

He Survived On Pot

I Survived On Heaving

Sighing Each Night

My Nightmare Would End

Even With The Apparition Of Her Kindly Incubus

The Rain Too

The Sunshine Through

The Snow Too

Enmould Would The Unsettled Peace

The Unseen Tranquility Of Mind

And Being

Trod Forth Not Her Way Ever To Last

To The End Forever My Sigh Would Last

Oh No!
