I Will Say Again Poem by Francis Duggan

I Will Say Again

I will say again what I've often said before
I write for enjoyment that and nothing more
Whilst some say on paper I've said all one can say
What I enjoy doing why should I give away
If none ever read the stuff that I do write
Or the best thing I've written none ever recite
Of that why should I worry I will keep penning on
Though the best years of my life to the forever gone
A fellow from Millstreet in Duhallow is all I can claim to be
By Clara at least a two hour journey by car inland from the sea
I do not write poetry I merely pen stuff
Though for many years now I have been a rhyme buff
If I said I'd give up writing that would be a lie
I hope to be penning till the day that I die.
