I Wish I Knew Poem by Sean Buchsbaum

I Wish I Knew

I see her face
It says
So many things
In just one look
In my eyes
It screams
With anger
From all we have done
Turning away
So I cant get
One more glimpse
I see her eyes
They remind me
Of so many times
I wiped them dry
It takes me back
To a place ive never been
The ocean is her reflection
As the sky cuts through
Her face
She looks again
To catch me staring
Wondering who I am
As I smell her aroma
So sweet
Like a rose without the
Edges so perfectly trimmed
I hear her whisper
Walking up my ear
The sounds like a
Humming bird
Singing the tune of life
Her footsteps keep ringing
In my mind and in the air
Her aroma is gone
As the night sky turns darker
And she says
Goodbye with a wave
Not aimed for me
As I wave anyways
And say my last farewell
