I Won The Lottery Poem by Juan Olivarez

I Won The Lottery

Your breast rises and falls
Late at night
And I, I spy on you
How beautiful you still are
Your face in the light
Of the TV and Mulder and Scully
Is surely angelic

Your amber eyes closed
Resting for the fight with tomorrows battles
Lost in your dreams
Oblivious to my gaze on you.

You really meant it, didn't you
If I had known back in 1973
That we would still be together
After so many wonderful years
Well
I'd take you over the Lottery any old day

I guess there is no price for true love. Congratulations Juan, on finding the woman of your dreams, and creating such a nice poem about her
