Ice Fences Poem by John McCornack

Ice Fences

Ice fences come in all sizes and configurations
From wood picket to metal wire construction
Ice can bring much beauty and excitement
To a simple dull permanent type obstruction

But the problem is that ice fences do not last
And are mostly memories of our country side
For when they do appear they are soon gone
Maybe why their natural beauty is magnified
