If I Could Tell You I Would Poem by Jackie Trujillo

If I Could Tell You I Would

Get rid of those cobwebs and confusion
because i need to talk to my heart
it's hurting and I don't know how to fix it
just like raising kids there is no manual
I've tried not to make the same mistake twice
but I fell in love again and it hurt twice as much
and now I'm sitting here dazed and confussed
trying so hard not to think about you
your the only one I ever loved
and the only thought that's in my head
Spend all night dreaming about you
your kiss, your touch, your the only one that I think of
and everytime I hear your name
I get a smile that just warms my heart
takes me back to that one night there,
I can feel the touch of that cool night air
you looked into my eyes and said I LOVE YOU
I should of jumped I should of screamed
but all I did was hold my heart
i didn't act on it then so all I can do is wait
Wait for the day that I see you again so I can say
I LOVE YOU TOO.
