If I Have Love Poem by Harun Al Nasif

If I Have Love

If I have love,
I'd fly to the heaven unfolding my pair of arms,
And jump into a train bound for unknown place.
If I have love,
I'd pour colours on the canvas of life,
And colour the sky lighting fireworks.

If I have love,
I the country boy would be a denizen in the city,
And I the born caste fisherman would turn a vegitarian.
If I have love,
I'd swim in the sea leaving all fears and terrors,
And would be a gentle boy shedding all carelessness.

If I have love,
I'd go to spend my life in prison being innocent,
And remain in sheer bliss in the condemned cell.
If I have love,
I'd not hesitate to push myself in great dangers,
And would put my open breast to the mortar shell.

If I have love,
I'd grow a stone broke in vain laughter and play,
And trample the crown throwing it on the ground.
If I have love,
I'd barter the heaven with a mere apple only,
And build the tower alone in the Babel again.
