If I Just Sit Here Poem by Cory Swygert

If I Just Sit Here

Rating: 5.0

Here i am blank, off somewere you can not see, you can not sense.
But maybe in effect you've been touched by it, you've felt it's tug,
You just don't recollect. If i just sit here, there's no need for you to speak,
Don't get the urge to ask, but undoubtedly you will. Perhaps you'll feel it agian,
Or it might just be a distant memory, one you will never get back.
This is my constant, this is my persistent state of perception.
Were it comes from is unnamed, but it falls right in line, remains ever true.
If you must know, if you can't halt this feeling of wonder over my state.
Everythings right with my existence, everythings right with the world, i'll hold fast and live,
If i just sit here.
