If I Knew How To Love Poem by william hatten

If I Knew How To Love

Rating: 3.5

If I knew how to love
I could only love you

My soul left fluttering
Amiss and demented
Reformed and alive
Upon your return

Never appreciating the joy and happiness
That floored me
Gazing into the copper pools
Of your eyes

And i am thankful
Passionate and intense
It's good to feel
Even if it's torture

Your skin
Your hair
The molecules of your being
Need not fear
For I do not

Know how to love
