If Life Had No Meaning

If life had no meaning and time came to still
You could fix it again with the power of your will
If the Angels did fall screaming out with their cries
With your strength you would lift them wiping tears from their eyes

If the children lay broken crying down on the ground
Your love would heal them as you whispered a sound
If lovers were torn and their hearts fell asunder
You would mend them with passion and fill them with wonder

If my life had no meaning and time came to still
When all I had seen had broken my will
Your smile would lift me from the depths I would crawl
With you by my side I could conquer them all

So please always cherish the time that we share
Just don't walk away like you didn't care
You are more than special as anyone can see
And always remember you're everything to me

The old year went, and the new returned, in the withering weeks of drought,
The cheque was spent that the shearer earned,
and the sheds were all cut out;
