If Only You Knew Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

If Only You Knew

Rating: 5.0

time caught up with me
pain struck like lightening
so suddenly
tears flow than any ocean
overcome by solid emotion

voiceless after making choices
sorry traveled quite a distance
haunts me night and day
the years have unraveled these fears
buried from deep within

If only you knew
just how much
I love you
If only I shared
just how much
I really do care
If you recognized
You would realize
the wounds found in my eyes

time caught up with me
sorry traveled quite a distance
and the years unraveled the fears
struck me like lightening
haunts me every night and day
