If There Was No Money Poem by Vishal Kadrekar

If There Was No Money

If there was no money,
This world would have been such a better place, you say why?
I would say this because there would not have been the rich and the poor,
If there would not be poverty,
People wouldn’t struggle to have two square meals,
If people wouldn’t have been hungry,
They won’t try to beg or steal to satiate their hunger,
If people won’t steal there won’t be criminals,
If there would be no criminals, their won’t be narcotics or arms,
If there would be no arms, there won’t be police or military,
If there would be no military there won’t be boundaries,
If there would be no boundaries there won’t be nations,
If there won’t be nations they won’t fight for ‘their’ territories,
If there would be no fights earth would be a paradise to live on.
Sadly, for all the cause of money,
Because, money drives an economy, a nation, an individual
