If water were the only symbol
for power
for birth
for new life
we would still be able
to bend time and space
with heart and soul
and hear the blood
beat at the center of infinity
where life begins and ends
with whisper and shout

The secrets
of past
of present
of future
held tightly in the
slight movement,
the silent tick
of spinning worlds
where flashes of thought arc along the
invisible heart
which knows how
and why
and where
and what
hides within the starshine
waiting,
waiting
for shadows
to learn from their own light
