If You'Re Not Poem by Josh Burnett

If You'Re Not

Tell me if you love me,
Because you know I can't live without it.
I want to see you in my eyes,
Because if I can't then I am blind.
I want you to by my son,
Because if you're not my tears will never dry.
I want you to be the reason,
Because if you're not my heart will die.
I want you to be the truth,
Because if you're not my life's a lie.
I want you to be my wings,
Because if you're not I'll never fly.
I want you to be my cloud,
Because if you're not I'll never be high.
I want you to be the answer,
Because if you're not I'll never know why.
I want you to be my smile,
Because if you're not I'll always cry.
I want you to be there,
Because if you're not I don't have a reason to try.
I want you to be my voice,
Because if you're not I'll be shy.
I want you to be the hi,
Because if you're not it wll always be goodbye.
I want you to be my laugh,
Because if you're not it will always be a sobbing sigh.
I want you to be my cup,
Because if you're not I'll never drink the wine.
I want you to be here,
Because if you're not nobody will ever be mine.
I want you to be the mending,
Because if you're not I'll never be fine.
I want you to be the words,
Because if you're not I won't write another line.
