You should know how this is:
Fate cannot fight
This unconquerable emotion,
This bliss.
If we should share a smile,
perhaps something more intimate,
like a slow, sensual kiss.
If you should find I'm something you miss.

If you should happen around some unknown corner,
in the desolate sunshine
and bump into your soulmate.

If we should spend years of our life twisting the very fabric of time and space until it is worn and faded.

If you should wake and find
our love stale and moth-eaten,
a tired old hat,
far beyond its expiration date.

If you should leave me behind,
and never look back,
like dust tracks on a road
or
leave me in the winter of my discontent,
stranded ashore,
as you fade into the setting sun.

I want you to know
one thing...

I will not stop loving you
little by little,
I will hate and seethe,
but my anger will not keep me from loving you.

I shall break myself in half
a trick comparable to a dark magician
If suddenly you should act as if you don't know me,
as if I were a mysterious stranger.

I shall fight back the tears and bitter loneliness
but I will not forget you,
And what we were
The years will not weaken my love,
Time will not reduce the pain.

As I wait faithfully on the shores of discontent,
for my love to return.
