If You Were Different... Poem by Alexandra PetricoZabelina

If You Were Different...

I love your face - it's so alive.
If one can read, it says so much.
You're open with a tender heart.
That's why for me it's never hard
To trust your every statement, every word.
It's something new... like an award,
So much like treasure or a gift.
At times there're doubts if I deserve it...
We all live in the real world,
Material and cynical at some point.
We struggle, but sometimes there's no choice,
And only dreams help us go on.
But what we have is Wonderland,
Coz i have never even dreamt
Of that heart of mine so well-ment
And such great pleasure; hope it won't end.
I used to me a sceptic when we met.
And from that angle i failed to understand
Your thoughts and motives right at once.
If you were different, there would be no us...
