Your Soul's Home. Poem by Alexandra PetricoZabelina

Your Soul's Home.

Rating: 4.5

Around the world there are so many places
To which you've wished or ever been,
Along the paths of which you've chased one's shadows
So many wonders, mysteries you've seen...

But nowhere you feel like you're at home,
Except your hometown, your Motherland.
It's made of dear, all well-known roads
And different water, air, even sand.

Where can you enjoy the childhood odours?
Where can a stranger have such a familiar face?
Which place wins in the number of your fellows?
What is the destination of your daily 'thinking race'?

To all the questions there's one but perfect answer.
It's hidden in the core - the key is coined inside.
There's no doubt it's your soul's home to where
You can always find the shortest way with no guide.

Your Soul's Home.

A well articulated piece, nicely encapsulated and penned with insight. I like the rhyme scheme of the piece and I also concur with the poet's conviction. A nice poem indeed. Thanks for sharing and do keep it up. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
