The mirage of a lake in the middle of a wasteland
Illusions
The smiles plastered on an abused face
Illusions
What are they?
The thought of what we desperately want,
Yet cannot have

Illusions
The special effects on movies
Illusions
The thought of marrying your favorite celebrity
Illusions
What are they?
The dream of being in that world
Then realizing it doesn't exist

Illusions
Happiness. Love. Peace
Happiness is fake.
Love is always broken.
Peace is never there.
Illusions
What are they?
The thing humans do and see
Because we are not strong enough to see reality
