Illusions Poem by nishtha ghosh

Illusions

Rating: 4.5

Nobody gives without wanting something back is a fact

But the illusion of unselfishness keeps the self esteem intact

Nobody loves without wanting to be loved back is a fact

But the illusion of selfless love keeps the sprit of love in tact

Nobody looses without wanting to fight back is a fact

But the illusion of being better keeps the surrounding intact

Nobody wants to break without being weak is a fact

But the illusion of being strong keeps the man intact

Nobody sacrifices without being forced to is a fact

But the illusion of self-sacrifices keeps the nobler feelings intact

Nobody tells without wanting to know is a fact

But the illusion of just expressing keeps the relationship intact

Nobody lives without wanting to break them is a fact

But the illusion of breaking them keeps them intact
