Ive said I'm afraid,
When I really wasn't.
Ive said I didn't mean it,
When I truly did.
But everyday I live with a fear,
That no one knows,
And this is it.
I'm afraid that the next time I open my mouth
Ill say something I don't mean,
or something I wasn't supposed to say.
I'm afraid the next time I see you,
Will be the last time I see you alive.
I'm afraid the next time I say good-bye,
Ill actually mean it.
I'm afraid that the next time I shed a tear for you,
You'll know and Ill just want to die.
I'm afraid the next time I leave this place,
I wont ever come back.
