i see the pain underneath your smile
your trying to hold back
it almost brings tears to my eyes
as i sit and try to fake a laugh

you know that you can talk to me
i wont judge you in anyway
just dont hold it against me
if i dont know what to say

the pain you feel is mutual
although your taking it better than i
you hide your feelings well
can you tell that i've been crying?

someday we'll just sit
and neither of us say a word
just have each others company
just know that you've been heard
