That girl in the mirror
Staring at herself
Wanting to just
Be someone else

What she sees in the mirror
Isn't what you see
Shame on those photos
That make her ashamed of herself

Look at her closer
Get inside of her skin
Revealing secrets of herself
And the lie that she's trapped in

When she sees herself
She sees a mistake
She sees that she never should've been
She sees that she's stuck here

She sees an evil person
Who wants to be good but can't
Anger brought out her demon
It never leaves her alone

She also sees that she's ugly
With no potential or worth
She's losing herself
Becoming her worst enemy

All she sees is her faults
That lead to broken hearts and pain
The faces of loved ones who cried out
And felt the shame that she brought

These images are trapped
And buried deep in her soul
I am this girl
This is all I see
Looking in a Mirror
