Imaginative Reading Poem by Kit Strait

Imaginative Reading

Come fly the many skies with me
Come fly the many skies for free
Or stay on land and see the jungles
Or even bother your aunts and uncles
Or...
Maybe sail the seven seas
Do some swashbuckling without one knee
Or...
Smoke a pipe with Old King Cole
I'm sure he has another bowl
Or...
Scare the maids with some crows
And even pick on your nurse's nose
But me, I think I'll sail the skies
With an alien who has ten eyes

So do explore every nook
Or just curl up with a book
And I'll fly by and take a look
While you go fishing with no hook

So adieu and au revoir
I'll need my shoe and my claw
I'll say goodbye, I shouldn't tarry
I have to find my Uncle Harry
