Imagined Love Poem by Sandra Feldman

Imagined Love

Rating: 5.0

I draw you
In my mind,
You know,
That perfect
Love,
The one Romantics
Cannot live,
Without.

Imagined love,
The one that
Never comes,
The silent one
That never
Does softly appear,
So far away,
Imagined,
Never real
Yet lives
In dreams as
Might a loving rose
With petals, torn
While time,
Its beauty fades,
Leaving, behind
But jagged thorns.

Silent love,
So desired,
Never real,
So far away,
Imagined,
Also dreamed,
But Never yours,
Not for a day,
Drifting away
Like a strangled
Ray of light,
Never redeemed.
