Immunization (1) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Immunization (1)

How sad it is when people die
How quickly tears run free
Seeing how empty; bodies lie
Once life ceases to be

How strange we look when souls have gone
When doctors know no more
When all is done that could be done
When life shuts tight the door

How can we win, this final fight?
Can nought be done at all?
Has death to visit day and night?
Must man yet always fall?

How long must man this curse endure?
With knowledge close at hand
Can science not bring forth a cure?
Can wisdom understand?

From God, man wanders more and more
Still death bending the knee
Denying Christ The Living Door
And one and only Key

From books, we seek to comprehend
Life’s secrets to unfold
Deep mysteries, why life must end
While truth remains untold

“I am The Truth, The Life, The Way
The cause and why you live
Believe the facts I have to say
And endless life I’ll give

Let darkness from your soul depart
Receive my Breath within
Allow my Flame, purge pure your heart
And keep you free of sin”…PTO…
