Impact Poem by Maria Mortimer

Impact

There are more faces,
Then places.
Strangers pass everyday,
Impacts cannot be kept at bay.
The kind-
Your heart shall find,
The arrogant you must not mind.
You must not be the evil,
Or the leader of the devil.
Don't allow for jealousy,
That always leads to hypocrisy.
In every heartbeat- a lesson,
Resulting within you a confession.
Countless faces and remarks,
Each within your life a mark.
Nameless strangers with a pen,
Inscribing your book a lesson within.
