Impaired Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Impaired

Impaired.
Psychologically.
Socially.
Morally.
And emotionally,
Not there to be aware...
Of the danger this presents.
Attempting to convince,
A caricature of a super hero,
Depicted from colorful comic books...
Could actually be perceived to defeat,
The reality of a death threatening virus.
Complete to posture,
Image.
And a diminished, demented mind.
Clamoring for an attention given.
As a spreading pandemic,
Is wished disappears in fear.
In the glow of pretentious sickness.
Clearly mentally disconnected,
From the many no longer...
Disbelieving to delude what is seen.
