Imperfect Perfect Man Ii (How The Story Ends) Poem by June FeirCruz

Imperfect Perfect Man Ii (How The Story Ends)

Rating: 5.0

Just how many times does a love affair ends?
It looks like a 'Burton - Liz Taylor' all over again
Though you have never given me diamonds or baubles or gifts of any kind
All you wanted to give me was your measurement as a man

We have an old saying where I come from:
'You can only catch a fish from its own lips'
This time no denials needed
'That woman' is the closest thing
to you, as though you are married'

So now you think you have gotten away
With your lies and your deceit
How could that be when you are the one in heat?
You could just drop* dead for all I care
I don't need you in my life
Just go straight to hell

All those wasted moments
When I thought I could love you
Not that I want to go to the altar to say 'I do'
I just wanted a nice lover
Who could also be my friend
Instead you were such a disappointment
You just made me weep

**It wasn't the imperfection that ended this relationship - it's the dishonesty through avoidance that did it. ** I guess like the old saying goes: Sometimes you have to kiss a few frogs, before you find your own prince charming....better yet, it's when you are not looking, is when you find the one....** Keeping the faith**

excellent exposition reeks on the otherside of love, eloquence flows by the poignance, yet painful when stucks up in dark grime, excellent write by imagery,10++, thanks for sharing

very interesting how things start off so good and turn out so bad. Just ending a relationship now as we speak (or as I read this) . Once again...very nice job/
