Imprisoned Poem by just a girl

Imprisoned

Fear is your keeper
You long to break away
You fight the urge to cry
each and everyday

You wish to be free
Your only one desire
Your heart beats within
It burns as if on fire

Your mind wants to run
Be untamed like the wind
You are imprisoned, enslaved
You yearn for the end

You spend your nights deep in thought
Seeking a way to get out
You need to break the chains that bind you
It’s what this life is all about
