In-Between Time Poem by Richard D Remler

In-Between Time

******************

Today is almost over,
And tomorrow isn't here.

There is a softly silvered, biding
Glow of twilight drifting near.

With a tender wisp of coolness
To the waking breeze,

And it dances so serenely
Through these ancient Willow trees.

It is a time in-between
The here along the now.

That fraction of a moment
In-between the here and how.

There is a softly whispered wonder
Of what may come to be

Should she awaken to a sunrise
And set the morning free.

Tomorrow is a Shadow,
Andtoday is but a dream.

An ever silent echo
To the moments in-between.

A hush that touches never
In its pirouetting sigh.

A mystery as fleeting
As a new born babies cry.

Today is nearly over,
And when tomorrow is today,

We'll see the softly moving
Silver glow of twilight fade away.

With a tender wisp of morning dew
To calm the winding air,

When today is finally over,
And tomorrow's everywhere.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
"Time is free, but it's priceless.
You can't own it, but you can use it.
You can't keep it, but you can spend it.
Once you've lost it you can never
get it back."
