In Brief Amount Of Time Poem by Gary James Smith

In Brief Amount Of Time

In A Brief Amount Of Time

In a brief amount of time
You set forth man's direction
In all the things you said and had done
Pointed to the Resurrection
Your proved beyond a shadow of a doubt
You were a man of your Word
And it became the motivational factor
For your disciples to preach the Word

In a brief amount of time
Lord look what you had granted
Sight to the blind, the deaf to hear
The lame man's feet firmly planted
An adulterous gal forgiven for sin
And told " go and sin no more"
Hard to believe they crucified You
Yet that's the reason that You came for

In a brief amount of time
You've granted us the provision
To use our will and make a choice
It's completely our decision
Will we believe or will we not
That choice hangs in the balance
Thank you Father while I have breath
I shall not waste this chance

In a brief amount of time
Life goes by so swiftly
As we age and roll back the years
First we're one and then we're fifty
Time and chance happens to us all
We're all in the ship of life
Praise God I have an anchor for my soul
The Rock of Ages Jesus Christ!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

In A Brief Amount Of Time... yes, great lives tend to be brief but fruitful, a great hymn
