In Loving Memory Poem by Sky McCoy

In Loving Memory

As I sit here writing this to you
I remember the feeling that was once felt by two
I remember how badly I wanted to take your pain away
In my heart, just once I begged you to stay
I loved the brightness of your beautiful smile
Every night I stayed awake thinking and crying for a while
Your eyes saw through the pain and the sorrow
I was always afraid you would leave me and not be here tomorrow
Before the dawn, still bleeding out the ink was my pen
Love has so many downsides that it feels like a deadly sin
My heart became so tired of breaking and crashing
My emotions paid so much and it was very taxing
This misery business tore me from the inside and out
My emotions were never numb because of the limitless amount
On the night of the full moon I sat and I cried
Everyone of you drove me crazy to the point where I lost my mind
So I sit here writing this to only you
You the person who held me and mended my heart anew
To this feeling that was felt by two
I write this in loving memory of you
