In Memory Of Kobe Poem by Denise Clark

In Memory Of Kobe

Rating: 4.5

I want to share a story
Of a baby I once knew
His name was Kobe Allen
My little baby nephew

Eight weeks early
He was given birth
He struggled everyday
To stay upon this earth

His gorgeous little smile
Brought happiness and joy
He was daddy's
Precious baby boy

The ignorance of a parent
The neglect of a mother
Caused my nephew Kaleb
To lose his little baby brother

She chose to stay up all night
And finally falling asleep
She was not awaken
By the heart monitor beep

His daddy away at work
Mommy fast asleep
Kaleb just a baby
No one heard the beep

Daddy came home form work
Kobe just six months old
To find his precious baby boy
Lying in his crib cold

Taken to the hospital
His heart they could not start
When we had to bury him
It tore our world apart

Oh my goodness. This is so tragic and sad. Nothing cuts quite like the death of a child. Beautiful, Denise. Well done. Shannon
