Mirrors Don'T Lie Poem by Denise Clark

Mirrors Don'T Lie

Rating: 5.0

I see you looking back at me
With absolute disgrace
You don't even blink an eye
Just a blank stare on your face

How could someone want you?
With such a hateful glare
How can someone love you?
If you don't even care

You let yourself go
You look such a mess
The only excuse you offer
Is pain and distress

You have to do something
You can't just let it be
For every where you go
You'll be staring back at me

Looking in the mirror our views often change. If life is shining our eyes are sparkling and we see beauty. If struggling we see pain that shows no beauty. Lovely to read your work. I wish you well.

Nice flow and rhymes. How about a 9? Hmm.. on further reflection, definitely a 10. - chuck
