In One Day Of Those Days Poem by Adrian Thomas

In One Day Of Those Days

Rating: 4.8

In one day of those days when perhaps you wanted me
I, perhaps, wanted you.
In one day of those days when perhaps you needed me
I, perhaps, needed you.
In one day of those days when you perhaps missed me
I, perhaps, missed you.
In one day of those days when perhaps you loved me
I, perhaps, loved you.
But, how strange, in this day of these days after you, I do.

That is the way with unspoken love. We will never know what was going on in the other person's mind. We frame all our own pictures and they are as destructible as time itself. This poem reaches out blindly to the loved one and then retreates back into a heart full of longing for her.10.

Mr. Thomas: An intriguing work. Ordinarily I don't like repetition, but the repeated sentence here is fairly complex, and you have kept this short and varied. What sold it for me is the timing. On only one of those days...until now. Nice punchline. Thank you for sharing this one. -G

This is such a love story in the way most of us feel and think often to ourselves not knowing how the other person feels.A great write a 10
