In Righteousness Poem by Michael P. Johnson

In Righteousness

In righteousness enthroned on high
Beyond life’s pearly door
Reigns He who chose for man to die
And live forever more

Who’ll recognise The Living One
God’s Word and righteous Sword
Who’ll see in Him God’s Lamb and Son
And take Him as their Lord

These too! Our God will recognise
These few, He’ll call His own
He’ll take the shadows from their eyes
And touch their hearts of stone

He’ll bless their souls and make them Light
Strengthen the young and old
Anoint with oil, give robes of white
And crowns of purest gold

He’ll give them grace wondrous power
The right to rise above
Riches on their heads He’ll shower
With endless perfect love

Who but a fool would this decline?
Refuse to be God’s child?
Walk with creation’s King divine?
Completely reconciled

Who’ll ask of God through Christ His Son?
For faith and eyes to see
Who’ll find when life’s great race is run
They’ve total victory

Righteously rules The Living Lord
With righteous hand held high
Will you escape His judgment sword?
Or hope in hell to die?
