In Silences Poem by Peter Eliastam

In Silences

I love you Father, in the silences,
And in the stillness, hear Your Spirit speak,
In times of silent calm before a storm
Built up of solitudes, when all I seek
Is to dissolve into Your Spirit’s form.
I love You best beyond the boundaries
Of my capacity, when rudderless,
I trust You in unquiet quandaries;
Then at Your whisper, I lay down my oars.
I love your brisking breeze to brace my sails
Across the seas to safer homeward shores.
I love you in the maze, when vision fails,
And when at last I see You, I will gaze
At You “ in Jesus” on that Day of days.
